Owlbert is the friendly face of Hughes & Cozad Orthodontics.
When the practice rebranded in 2009, an owl felt like the right symbol for a practice rooted in The Woodlands, a community known as “The Living Forest.” Owls also represent wisdom, which fits the careful guidance our orthodontists provide as they help patients move toward healthier smiles. You might see Owlbert cheering patients on, celebrating milestones, showing up at community events, or adding a little personality around the office.

In most cases, no. Our iTero digital scanner allows us to create precise digital models without messy traditional impressions.

Owlbert is our practice mascot and a favorite among younger patients. The owl was introduced during the practice rebrand in 2009 as a symbol of wisdom and a connection to The Woodlands, known as “The Living Forest.” Patients even helped name Owlbert through a community contest.
Do you treat both adults and children?
Yes. We provide orthodontic treatment for children, teens, and adults, including braces and Invisalign options tailored to each patient’s needs.
What should I expect at the first consultation?
Your consultation includes an exam, digital imaging or scanning if needed, a discussion about treatment options, estimated timing, and a review of financial information and payment options. Our goal is to help you feel informed and comfortable before making any decisions.
Do I need a referral from my dentist?
No referral is required. Many patients are referred by their dentist, but families are always welcome to schedule a consultation directly with our office.
How do I get started?
