Dr. Hughes has spent more than 25 years caring for families in The Woodlands and surrounding communities. As someone who grew up locally and continues to serve the area, he brings deep community connection and decades of orthodontic experience to every treatment plan.
His approach is practical, precise, and focused on helping patients achieve healthy smiles that look great and function well for years to come.

Dr. Ben Cozad

DDS, MSD

Dr. Cozad brings more than 20 years of clinical experience to Hughes & Cozad Orthodontics, along with academic leadership as a professor of orthodontics at the UT Health Houston School of Dentistry.
His background combines hands-on patient care with a deep understanding of orthodontic science, helping families feel confident that treatment recommendations are guided by experience, education, and long-term health.

Dr. Valencia is proud to serve the community that helped shape him. He and his wife, Alexandra, grew up in The Woodlands area and returned home to raise their children.
With advanced orthodontic training from UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry and a personal connection to the community, Dr. Valencia brings thoughtful, family-centered care to every patient he treats.
